I was born in Silverton, Colorado on January 23, 1947 to Lillian Mae (Utt) Bingel and John Paul Bingel

After Silverton we lived in Grand Junction, Colorado where dad attended Mesa Junior College.

We then moved to Golden Colorado where dad attended Colorado School of Mines

After dads college we moved to MT Iron, Minnesota.

I attended grades 1 through 8 and part of 9 in Mt Iron

We then moved to Lander, Wyoming where I graduated from High School in 1965

I then served 12 years in the US Navy (see Navy page for details)

In 1969 I married Netta Jean Avery from Lander Wyo.

We had three Sons Weston Lee, Paul Berton, and Thomas Allen

I moved the family to Fullerton, California in 1977 where I went to work for Hughes Aircraft Company

Netta and I split up in 1978.

I married Nancy Eileen McNamara in 1979

Except for a 2.5 year gap in the mid nineties I spent my career at Hughes.

Hughes was bought by Boeing

I retired at 55 from Boeing Satellite Systems as a Senior Staff Engineer.

Am enjoying retirement and wonder how I ever had time to go to work.
